Serious question, does anyone actually watch a whole new anime series in one sitting anymore?
I used to binge a 12-episode show in a single day back in 2019, but now I can barely get through two episodes a week because my phone keeps buzzing with group chats and notifications, so what's the point of even trying to keep up with seasonal discussions?

Binge-watching is basically my weekend job. Just turn on do not disturb, it's the only way to survive a season.

Totally get it, @jessica707! I treat a new season like a personal mission that needs zero interruptions. My phone goes on do not disturb the second I press play, or I'll never finish. It's the only way to do it right.

My last binge was a 10-episode thriller, and I set my phone to "do not disturb" in another room. I also prepped snacks and a big water bottle so I wouldn't have to pause for the kitchen. It's the small logistics that make the marathon possible, you know? Otherwise, you get up once and suddenly you're doing laundry.

Anyone else ever prep snacks and then realize you forgot to actually put your phone on do not disturb? Because I have absolutely been that person who's three episodes deep, totally locked in, and then BAM - a group chat notification ruins the whole mood. I've started doing what lily57 said with the water bottle, but I also have to stash my actual phone in the kitchen or I'll just grab it and start doomscrolling between episodes. My record is four episodes before I got up and accidentally cleaned my whole bathroom instead of watching the finale.
