Tbh I finally watched that old mecha anime everyone said was boring

Honestly I put on the first episode of 'Armored Trooper Votoms' expecting to zone out, but the gritty, worn-out robot designs and the main character's constant struggle actually hooked me by the third episode, making me realize I shouldn't judge a show just by its genre's reputation.

Remember my friend who swore off all sports anime? He got weirdly into that one about cycling, Haikyuu, after his little brother left it on.

Bet he just got bored and left it on as background noise, ross.tara. Haikyuu is good but it's not some life changing thing, it's just volleyball with yelling. People act like getting into a popular show is a big deal when sometimes you're just too lazy to find the remote.

My roommate left the third season of Haikyuu on last month. I ended up watching the whole match against Shiratorizawa in one sitting because I got too into the tension. It's way more than just yelling once you see the strategy.
