That random forum tip about episode pacing actually saved my watchlist
Some guy named Tomo on a Reddit thread said to skip the filler arcs in Bleach and jump straight to the manga-canon episodes. I finally tried it last Saturday and cleared 60 episodes in two evenings. My watchlist is actually manageable now, and I don't feel like I missed any big plot beats. Has anyone else used a pacing guide and regretted it later, or is this the norm?
Wait, you actually skipped the fillers and felt fine about it? I used to be one of those people who thought skipping anything meant you werent a real fan. But after binging One Piece with a guide that cut the padded arcs, I realized I was just wasting my own time on recaps and side quests that dont matter. The manga-canon episodes hit way harder because the pacing is tight, and I finally got why people hype up certain fights. Now I check a filler list before starting any long anime, and my backlog has never been healthier. Did it feel weird at first to skip stuff, or was it an easy sell for you?
Bleach has like 200+ filler episodes, so I get it, but I never got the point of stressing over a watchlist like it's a job. I stayed up way too late once trying to follow a pacing guide for Naruto and ended up more confused than if I'd just watched it in order. Half the time those guides are just one person's opinion on what's skippable, and they'll cut stuff you end up liking anyway. If skipping episodes makes you enjoy a show more, fine, but calling it a "saved" watchlist sounds like you're trying to beat a video game instead of just watching a story.
