The new dub of Ranma 1/2 broke my immersion with one voice actor swap

I was watching episode 3 of the remake on Wednesday and Ranma's dad Genma suddenly sounded like a completely different guy. Turns out they recast his VA between episodes 2 and 3 without any announcement. It went from a gruff older man to a younger voice that totally kills the joke for me. Has anyone else noticed this kind of mid-season recasting throwing off your favorite shows?

That "suddenly sounded like a completely different guy" part really sucks.

Oh come on, it's not that big of a deal. Voice actors get swapped all the time and most people wouldn't even notice if you didn't point it out. A different voice for Genma might even grow on you once you give it a few episodes.

I had the same problem with the English dub of the original Cowboy Bebop when they swapped Faye's voice actor out of nowhere. You're not alone there @shane_park92, it felt like a totally different character for a few episodes. What worked for me was going back and watching a scene from the earlier episodes side by side with the new one to see how they compared. After that I just let the new actor settle in and after maybe four or five episodes I stopped noticing the difference.
