I just realized I've climbed the same oak in Central Park for 15 years straight.
That's over 500 climbs on one tree, and it's made me notice every tiny change in its bark and branches that I would have missed on a hundred different jobs.

You must know that tree better than your own family at this point. I bet you could give a guided tour of its specific knots and bird nests. The squirrels probably nod at you in recognition. That's either dedication or a very specific form of madness.
