My cheap throwline cube finally died, spent $85 on a real one and it actually saved me time
For the past 3 years I used a $15 throwline bag and cube setup. Figured a bag is a bag. But the zipper jammed for the fifth time last Tuesday, and I was up in a red oak in Tulsa for a removal. Lost 20 minutes fighting a knot that should have taken 2 to throw. Went to the supply house and grabbed a proper cube with the brake built in. First throw today, landed a 60 foot limb in one shot. The difference is the line feeds smooth, no tangles. I wish I could get those 20 minute chunks back. Does anyone else cheap out on throw gear then regret it when the clock is running?
