Cordless impacts finally won me over after 15 years of air tools
Started as a tech in 2008. Swore by my Ingersoll Rand 2135. Air was free and reliable. Then I did a brake job on a rusted out Ford F-250 last winter. My buddy let me use his Milwaukee 2767. Zipped off the lug nuts and the caliper bracket bolts without breaking a sweat. No dragging hoses around. I bought one that week. Has anyone else made the switch from air to battery and regretted keeping the air setup for certain things?

Milwaukee's really changed the game with their high torque stuff, no doubt. I still keep a small pancake compressor and a basic impact gun around for tire rotations and light work though, just because air tools are lighter in hand and don't lose grip as easily when the battery gets low. That rust belt life means you need both sometimes, battery for the sheer torque and air for the delicate stuff on clean hardware.

Give the guy a break though, is it really that deep for tire rotations? I mean I just use a breaker bar and a torque wrench for light stuff and it works fine. Maybe I'm just not dealing with enough rust to need two full setups like that.
