Shoutout to the parts counter guy at the NAPA in Bellingham
He spotted a mislabeled brake rotor in their system before I ordered it, saved me a trip back. That kind of attention to detail is getting rare. Anyone else have a good local parts house story?

Ever wonder if they get a bonus for catching stuff like that?

Imagine they have quotas to meet like any other job. Would explain why some go overboard with tiny mistakes. Do you think that pressure changes how they do their work?

Wait, do people actually think they have quotas? I'm pretty sure that's not how it works... The pressure is more about not missing the big stuff, so they flag everything just in case. It makes them look at every tiny thing, which feels overboard sometimes. That focus on not failing means they treat a small error the same as a big one. So the change is about avoiding risk, not hitting a number.
