TIL I've done 4,000 alignments on the same Hunter rack and the number made me check my own tie rods
Pulled my service history out of curiosity on a slow Tuesday and saw I crossed 4,000 alignments on the old Hunter rack at the shop, which is around nine hundred cars a year on one machine. Went home and put my own truck on it that night because I could not remember the last time anybody checked it, and the toe was out almost a quarter inch on both sides. Anybody else hit a round number and suddenly not trust their own daily?
Check your own rig every oil change, takes five minutes and saves you a set of tires. Learned that the hard way after finding my fronts chewed to the cords.
