Appreciation post: Spent 6 months hating our CRM until someone showed me the right workflow.

I was dead set on switching off HubSpot after our team kept losing leads in the pipeline, but a consultant just showed us how to set up proper deal stages and it saved like 12 hours a week. Has anyone else had a tool click for you after being frustrated for months?

I get what you're saying but honestly I gotta push back on this... "just one little trick can flip your whole opinion." That's the problem right there. You shouldn't have to dig through consultants and support guys to figure out basic stuff. A tool should work out of the box, not after months of hating it and paying extra for someone to show you the secret handshake. I've seen too many teams waste time and money on these bloated systems because they're told "it gets better once you learn it." But that's just making excuses for bad design. If I buy a car, I shouldn't need a mechanic to show me how to turn the key.

My old boss made us use Salesforce at my last job and I absolutely hated it for like 8 months. I thought it was this clunky monster that just made everything harder. Then a guy from their support team showed me how to use list views and combine them with some basic automation rules. Completely changed how I felt about it overnight. Now I actually prefer it over the simpler tools we had before. Sometimes you just need one person to break down the barrier and show you what you're missing.

Man I used to be the exact same way. Hated Salesforce with a passion for like six months at my old place. Thought it was just this bloated mess that made simple things take forever. Then one of our admins showed me how to set up some custom report types and a couple of workflow rules. It went from being my least favorite part of the day to something I actually looked forward to using. Weird how just one little trick can flip your whole opinion on something.
