My sales guy said our new pricing page is 'too clean' and it's actually hurting conversions.

What does "too clean" even mean in this case? That sounds like a vague way to say it's missing something. A clean design is usually good, so the real issue might be that the page isn't pushing people to act. Maybe the call to action buttons aren't clear enough, or there's not enough social proof like customer quotes. You can have a simple layout and still guide visitors toward a sale.

Too clean? Is he worried people might actually find the info they need without getting a headache first?

What does he mean by clean, like it's missing key info? On my site, I had to add a simple comparison table showing what each package gets you. People got stuck without it.

12 times out of 10 when someone says something is "too clean" they really mean it lacks that little bit of messiness that makes it feel human. I agree with @xena_bailey18, it's like when a restaurant has a menu that's just too simple and you start wondering what's missing instead of feeling relieved. Same thing with websites or even how people decorate their apartments, if there's zero clutter it can actually feel cold and make you hesitate.
