PSA: I stopped building custom reports for every sales rep request.

For years, I'd drop everything to pull data for reps asking 'can you show me X?', which took up maybe 15 hours a week. After a messy quarter where our forecast was off by 40%, I built a single dashboard in Salesforce with the key metrics they actually need. Now I just point them there and train them on it. Anyone else had to cut down on custom work to get ops back on track?

Honestly, this is so true for everything now. I get the same thing with family asking me to fix their tech over and over. I finally made them all a simple guide with pictures instead of doing each call. You have to build the answer once or you'll never get your own time back.

It also stops them from asking for the wrong data.
