Question about switching from spreadsheets to a real CRM

I've been using Excel to track all my leads and deals for about 4 years at my last company. Finally moved to HubSpot last month and I'm already seeing way fewer mistakes in our pipeline data. Has anyone else struggled to convince their team to make the switch?

Have you found that your team is actually using HubSpot consistently, or is it a battle every day to get them to log stuff? I went through the same pain a couple years ago when we moved from Google Sheets to a real CRM, and the hardest part was getting people to trust the new system. We had a few guys who swore by their spreadsheets and would sneak off to update them instead of the CRM. What finally worked for us was having a weekly 10 minute meeting just to show how much cleaner the pipeline looked with the new tool. It helped that we could pull reports in seconds instead of hunting through tabs. How did you get your team on board?

Guys who swore by their spreadsheets" - man that hit home. I used to be one of those guys honestly. I had my own Google Sheet that I'd been keeping for years and I honestly thought HubSpot was just going to slow me down. What changed my mind was when I accidentally closed my spreadsheet without saving and lost a whole afternoon of work. That was the kick in the pants I needed. After that I forced myself to use HubSpot exclusively for like two weeks and by the end I couldn't go back to the old way. Showing the team how fast you can pull a report instead of digging through tabs made a huge difference for us too.

Oh man losing the unsaved work is brutal, that would've made me switch too lol. For us the turning point was when I showed the team we could pull a lead source report in like 10 seconds flat. Once they saw how fast the pipeline view updated after they logged one call it just clicked for them. We still have one guy who keeps his own notes but he's at least copying them over now.
