That week our lead scoring broke and I almost panicked
Back in 2019 I managed ops for a small B2B SaaS company and we had this one week where our lead scoring system just stopped working. Turned out a junior dev had pushed a change that messed up the SQL queries for the scoring logic. We lost about 200 leads that week because nothing got routed right and our sales team was calling people who didn't even fit our ICP. It took me 3 days to catch the bug and another day to fix the data. Has anyone else dealt with a hidden code change that messed up your whole funnel?

That week our lead scoring broke" reminds me of when our CRM decided all hot leads were actually cold because someone flipped a boolean field. Took us two days to figure out why the sales pipeline dried up.

And what kills me is it's always something dumb like that. Had a similar thing where someone changed a single workflow rule that was supposed to stop duplicate leads. Instead it just started deleting every new lead that came in if their email domain matched an existing one. So we lost like 300 fresh leads from Microsoft partners because they all had @microsoft.com emails. Took us a week to even notice because nobody thought to check the recycle bin.
