Tried skipping the onboarding sequence for a trial user last month
Figured they'd figure it out on their own since they came from a referral, but they churned after 3 days without even opening the dashboard. Has anyone else found that high-intent leads actually need more handholding, not less?

Honestly, didn't someone on here once say they sent a 5-minute rap video to a trial user and it somehow worked? Tbh that's wild, but maybe a loom video isn't the worst thing in the world if it's short and to the point. Ngl though, I'd be pissed if I signed up for a trial and got hit with a full on production before I even saw the product.

3 of my last 5 trial users who came from a referral churned in the first week because I assumed they were "self-starters." I learned the hard way that even warm leads need a quick walkthrough or at least a "here's where to click" email. Now I send a 2-minute loom video within an hour of signup and retention shot up by like 40%.
