Just lost $80 on a 'premium' brisket injection sauce that ruined my whole cook
Honestly, I bought this fancy garlic herb injection online because the ad said it would make the meat 'unbelievably juicy'. Ngl, it just made my brisket taste like salty pot roast and the texture got all mealy. Has anyone found a good homemade injection recipe instead?

Yeah, "overpriced salt water" is exactly right. I tried a fancy coffee rub once that did the same thing. Just tasted like burnt dirt.

That's a brutal way to waste good meat. Those premade injections are almost always just overpriced salt water. Hayden's got the right idea with plain broth, it lets the beef flavor shine.
