A shop customer told me my brake bleed was 'too perfect' and it got me thinking
Last Tuesday a guy came in with a sticky caliper on his gravel bike. I did the bleed, torqued everything to spec, and he said it felt like a brand new bike. But then he told me I was wasting time being that precise since most riders can't tell the difference anyway. It made me wonder if spending 45 minutes on a bleed is worth it when a 20 minute quick flush would do the job for 90 percent of people. Is there a line between doing the job right and overdoing it, or is that just how you stay in business?
