Just realized I've fixed over 500 coaster brake hubs this year

It hit me when I logged the last one. The old-school, simple stuff is still a huge part of the daily grind, even with all the new tech. Anyone else seeing a specific old component making a comeback in their shop?

Wow, that's a crazy number. My buddy at a shop downtown was just saying the same thing about three-speeds. He had a whole week where every other bike that rolled in had a Sturmey-Archer hub from the 70s that needed an overhaul. He said it felt like time traveling, but the parts are still out there riding hard.

Haha that's wild, @ben_lewis. It's like those old hubs are having a moment. I swear my own bike is held together by stubbornness and 50-year-old grease at this point. It's cool they're still going, but man, sometimes I wish my ride would just pick a century and stick with it, lol.

Yeah, that "time traveling" feeling @ben_lewis mentioned is spot on.
