PSA: I thought tubeless sealant was just a messy fad for road bikes.

After a customer insisted I set up his gravel bike tubeless with 45mm tires, I saw it seal a sidewall cut that would've killed a tube in seconds. Now I'm telling all my commuter customers to consider it. What's the biggest puncture you've seen sealant actually handle?

Saw a guy ride home on a tire with a half inch gash. Sealant and a bacon strip got it to hold air long enough. That stuff is basically liquid duct tape for bikes. I run it on everything now, even my old beater commuter.

Totally agree with @harper914, that sealant is a real lifesaver on the road.

Ever wonder if it could seal a cut from a broken bottle on a city street?
