TIL my shop's torque wrench calibration log hit 1,000 entries
I was updating the sheet today and that number just jumped out at me. It's a simple reminder that doing the small, boring task right every single time adds up to real reliability. How often do you guys actually check your clicker wrenches?

Monthly checks do the job for us. Quarterlies feel like waiting too long if something slips through the cracks. Respect to @ivan_murphy80 for keeping up with it, but a month is a shorter gap to mess up.

Damn, that's a perfect example of what @alicecraig said, the boring stuff is what keeps everything from falling apart.

We check ours quarterly. It's a boring chore but it keeps the work solid.

Quarterly checks are the only way to go. Letting things slide for a year means you're basically starting from scratch every time. Found a whole section of our backup logs that had been failing since May, and we only caught it in September. That boring chore saves your skin.
