Torque wrench calibration caught me slipping on a carbon steerer tube

Ngl, I was torquing stems and bars with the same wrench for like 4 years without ever checking it. Last week a customer's fork creaked at 6nm and I used my buddy's digital gauge, turns out mine was putting out 8.5nm. Has anyone else had a close call with a lazy calibration habit?
