Vent: The 'always replace the chain and cassette together' rule is costing people money
Was in a shop in Portland and watched a kid get quoted $180 for a new cassette when his chain had maybe 0.5% stretch and the teeth looked fine under a light. If you actually measure with a $12 gauge and the cogs aren't hooked, you can run two or three chains per cassette and save real money. Anyone else think the trade pushes full drivetrain swaps way too early?
