Damn, that's brutal. Always wipe off any excess paste right after you set the clamp. That stuff can really react if it's just left sitting there.

Nah, let it sit. That extra paste helps lock things in for good. Gray_morgan is just being too careful, it's not that big a deal.

My shop has used that paste for years with zero issues. Gray_morgan is worrying over nothing, a little extra paste never hurt a seatpost.
