Chose a $500 Google Ads campaign over Facebook for my landscaping side gig. Guess which one actually got me calls.

Ran both for 2 weeks side by side. Google brought in 7 leads costing me about $70 each. Facebook got me 3 likes and a comment from my aunt. Has anyone else had this kind of gap between platforms or was my targeting just that bad?

7 leads for $350 total is not bad but you are ignoring the LONG game. Facebook builds awareness over months while Google catches people already searching, so comparing them on 2 weeks is like judging a marriage after the first date.

Ran a campaign for a local plumbing company last year. Put $200 into Facebook ads for 3 months straight and barely got 5 leads total. But six months later those same people started calling because they remembered the ad. Ended up with 12 jobs from that same group. Facebook takes forever but it does work if you stick with it. Google is instant gratification, Facebook is the slow burn.
