Dropped $900 on a targeted Facebook ad campaign for my Etsy shop
Targeted dog owners in Austin with what I thought was a cute leash design. Got 12 clicks and zero sales. Anyone else have better luck with Instagram for niche pet products?

Killed my Facebook ads too after dumping $200 on cat toy videos that got like 50 views. Instagram actually worked way better for me. I started posting short clips of dogs using my leashes in funny situations, like a golden retriever dragging its owner down the street. That got way more engagement than any polished ad. Also joined a few Austin pet groups on there and just commented naturally, ended up getting a couple sales from local folks that way.

My buddy tried the same thing with his homemade dog treats. He just posted videos of his own dog going nuts for them and people started asking where to buy. Dude barely spent a dime on ads.

Noticed the same thing with my buddy's BBQ rub business, everyone wants the REAL raw content not the polished sales pitch. People are SO tired of being sold to, they just want to see something authentic and funny.
