I used to think influencer marketing was a total scam until a buddy spent $400 on a local food blogger and saw his BBQ joint's Saturday sales jump 30% in 3 weeks.

What finally convinced me was watching her single Instagram post about his brisket pull a line out the door at 11 AM on a Tuesday, so has anyone else seen real ROI from micro-influencers in their town?

Wait, didn't your buddy get that bump from a local blogger, not a micro-influencer?

Gotta push back a little on that @jamie_adams. That local blogger only has like 2,000 followers and most of them are just their neighbors. The micro-influencer my buddy worked with had 8,500 engaged followers and actually drove real traffic to the site. Not saying local bloggers can't help sometimes, but the bump from this micro-influencer was way bigger because the audience matched the product better.
