Our cold email open rates jumped from 4% to 22% in 8 weeks after dropping the salesy language
We used to lead with 'cutting-edge solution' and all that junk. Once we switched to a plain, helpful subject line about a specific pain point, the response doubled. Has anyone else seen a big boost by just talking to people like normal humans?

Makes me think of a guy I knew who ran a plumbing company and kept putting "premium hydro-solutions" in his emails... he finally just said "we fix leaky pipes in under 4 hours" and people actually started calling back.

Friend of mine ran a small landscaping business and kept calling himself a "premium outdoor environment engineer". Nobody called. He changed his ads to "we mow your lawn for 40 bucks" and his phone rang off the hook. People just want simple, direct stuff, not fancy titles.

Man I saw the same thing with a client who ran a roofing company. Their "premier weatherproofing specialists" subject line got crickets, but "we fix roof leaks before your ceiling caves in" hit 18% open rate first try.
