Switched from Google Ads to local Facebook groups and my leads tripled in 2 months.

I was spending $800 a month on Google Ads for my landscaping business in Austin with barely any calls, then a buddy told me to join neighborhood buy/sell groups and post my before-and-after yard photos. Has anyone else ditched paid search for hyper-local community posts?

So you're saying you didn't pay anything at all for Facebook posts... just shared your pictures in those local groups? That's actually genius because people trust neighbors way more than a random ad. I tried boosting a post once and it got likes but no real leads, but when I just posted in my town's group asking if anyone needed deck repairs last spring I got like 5 messages in an hour. The algorithm on Facebook seems to favor organic posts in local groups too, they don't get buried as fast. Plus your before and after photos are basically free advertising that keeps showing up as people scroll by. I'd bet the comments and shares from neighbors do more for you than any paid click ever could.

Whoa wait - you were dropping $800 a month on Google Ads?! That's insane. I spend like $200 on Facebook boosts for my cleaning business and thought that was a lot. But seriously, just posting pics in those local groups? No paid ads at all? That's wild that it worked so much better. I gotta try that with my before and after kitchen photos, those always get attention.

switched from google ads to local facebook groups" - yep that worked for me too. Google ads just burned my money but neighborhood posts actually got me real clients.
