Ran the same job on a plasma table and a bandsaw, and the saw won
Last March I had 60 bracket blanks to cut in my garage in Akron, so I ran half on the plasma table and half on my little horizontal bandsaw with a stop block. The plasma cut faster but left 1/16 inch of slag dross on every edge that took me 20 minutes a part to grind off, while the saw parts stacked right into the vise with almost no cleanup. For anyone doing thin plate like this, do you factor grind time into your cut time or just eat it?
