Found a stat that said 62% of dating app users lie about their height.

I was reading some survey results from a Pew study last week and that number blew my mind. Has anyone else noticed matches showing up shorter than they claimed?

Pretty sure that Pew stat was about online dating in general, not just height. 62% lying about height seems kinda high tbh. Most guys I know just round up an inch or two, not like they're claiming to be 6'2 when they're 5'8.

Yeah but you'd be surprised how many dudes add 3 or 4 inches and hope nobody notices.

Happened to me twice last month actually. First girl said she was 5'10 in her profile but when we met she was maybe 5'6 at best. The other guy claimed 6'0 and showed up looking me straight in the eye at 5'9. My advice is to just do a quick video call before meeting up if height matters to you. Ask them to stand next to something like a door frame so you can get a real sense. Saves everyone the awkward moment when they walk in and you instantly know they fudged the numbers.
