Hit 100 matches in a month and realized it's a total trap

That number felt like winning until I actually went on dates and 90% of them were just looking for Instagram followers or free meals. Anyone else get fooled by a high match count into thinking you were actually getting somewhere?

Yeah, saw an article calling it the "match economy" where the number is just for show.

Ugh, that's so real. I mean, I had this one match who talked to me for a week straight, super into it. Turned out she just wanted me to join her pyramid scheme for protein shakes. Felt like such a waste of time.

Can you even call that a match? I used to think a high match count meant something good. But after hearing about your protein shake mess, @mary_nelson71, I get it now. It just means more chances to get your time wasted by someone with a hidden plan. Makes you not even want to try talking to people on there anymore.
