I finally went on a date with a guy who brought his mom to the coffee shop in Phoenix.
He introduced her as his 'best friend and life coach' before she pulled out a list of questions for me, starting with 'What are your five-year life goals?' and 'Do you plan to have children?'.

Okay but the mom's list of questions, was it like a printed paper or just notes on her phone? And did he just sit there silently while she ran the interview, or did he jump in with his own stuff too? That's a whole new level of awkward.

Imagine bringing a printed list to a date, that's some next level planning. The guy staying silent is the real red flag though, like he's used to this whole routine. It makes you wonder if he even wanted to be there or if his mom set the whole thing up. Honestly, the mom doing the talking and the son just sitting there sounds like a job interview for a position nobody wants.

My friend's date had the mom pull out a printed list from her purse. The guy just stared at his plate the whole time, not saying a word. It was so bad my friend made an excuse and left before the main course.
