I think people are too quick to judge a bad first date... mine from last Tuesday in Phoenix actually turned into something good.

Wait, last Tuesday was Valentine's Day though. That's a weird choice for a first date, high pressure. Glad it worked out for you anyway.

Wasn't Valentine's Day on a Wednesday this year? I'm pretty sure it was the 14th. Maybe they just meant going out last week.

Honestly a low-key coffee meetup on a weird day like that can take the pressure right off. My best first date was on a random Tuesday after work, nothing fancy at all. It lets you just talk without all the usual first date nerves. Like @the_christopher said, it probably was just a normal Tuesday night out last week, not the holiday itself. Keeping it simple meant we could actually get to know each other, and that made all the difference.
