Just matched with someone who sent me 12 voice memos before we even talked

I matched with a woman on Hinge last week who seemed fine at first. Normal profile, normal messages. Then she sent me a voice memo about her cat. Then another about her commute. Then another about the weather. By the time I got to the 12th one I hadn't even replied yet, they just kept coming. Each one was like 2 to 3 minutes long. I listened to the first two and she talked about how her ex ruined her birthday party back in 2019. I unmatched after that. Has anyone else had someone go way overboard with voice notes before you even had a real conversation?

That's a decent claim but 17 sounds like a lucky hit rather than something repeatable... I've seen plenty of people brag about high numbers but they're usually counting the ones where they barely managed to stay upright. You gotta respect the ones who focus on clean technique over just chasing a number on a screen.

Root your feet into the mat and keep a low center of gravity. I've been tossed around more times than I care to admit, but once you learn to bend your knees and shift your weight forward (like you're bracing for a strong wind), those higher numbers become way less intimidating. Focus on your breathing too - hold it at impact, don't gasp. That girl with 17 probably just had good form and a sturdy stance, nothing crazy.
