Swiped right 47 times in one night and got zero matches back

I spent last Saturday evening binge-swiping on Hinge, thought I was being picky but still went through 47 profiles before my daily limit kicked in. Not a single one matched me back, and I even sent thoughtful comments on about 15 of them. Has anyone else hit a weird milestone like that where the numbers just made you feel invisible?

Man that is a rough number to sit with. But here is something nobody seems to mention - dating apps are designed to make you feel invisible sometimes to keep you buying boosts or premium plans. The algorithm knows exactly how many swipes you did and it might have throttled your visibility to push you toward paying. Try deleting your account and making a fresh one with slightly different photos and prompts. New accounts get a temporary boost where more people actually see your profile. That reset might be more useful than tweaking one photo or prompt because you are starting with a clean slate. I would also recommend swiping way less in one sitting. Spreading 47 swipes across a whole week gives the algorithm more time to push your profile in front of people at different times. Right now you are just a big burst of activity that gets filtered out.

Yeah 47 swipes with zero matches is a brutal stat, I've been there too. You might need to rework your profile a bit - like your first photo should be a clear solo shot where you're smiling and looking at the camera, not a group pic or a mirror selfie. Also try switching up your prompts to something more specific and funny, like asking a random question about pizza toppings or travel fails. I had way better luck when I stopped trying to be too clever with comments and just kept them short and casual, like "your dog looks like he judges people" kind of thing. Little tweaks like that made a huge difference for me.

That whole "tweak your profile" advice is solid, but honestly it's wild how that same pattern shows up everywhere. Like I'll spend an hour picking out the perfect bread at the store and then just get the same old sandwich at home. Makes you wonder if all that effort really matters or if luck just has a weird sense of humor.
