That time I showed up to a date and realized I was catfished by 10 years and 30 pounds

Honestly, I matched with this guy on Hinge who said he was 32 and looked exactly like his pics. I drove 45 minutes to a coffee shop in Arlington, and this dude who looked like my dad's friend walked up to me. His profile said he loved hiking, but he huffed just walking from the door to my table. I sat through 20 minutes of him telling me his ex was crazy before I made up an excuse about my dog being sick and left. Has anyone else dealt with someone who clearly used pics from like 2014?

My friend Sarah matched with a guy who claimed he was 5'11 and his pics showed him with a full head of hair. She got to the bar and this dude was maybe 5'6 with a serious bald spot and she almost choked on her drink. He spent the whole time complaining about how girls only want tall guys and she just left after 10 minutes.

That really sucks for Sarah. It's one thing to have someone exaggerate a little on their profile, but showing up looking completely different is just straight up lying. And then to spend the whole time complaining about something you literally lied about? That takes some nerve. The guy basically created his own problem and then got mad at her for it. I don't blame her for leaving, nobody wants to sit through a pity party from someone who started the night off with a lie.

Did your friend accidentally set the bar too low or what?
