The guy who unmatched me for ordering a well-done steak

Matched with a guy named Mark from Brooklyn last week. First date we go to this burger place and I order my burger well-done because that's how I like it. He literally stared at me and said "that's a crime against meat" and then unmatched me before I even finished my fries. Am I crazy for thinking people should just eat what they like without getting judged by someone they just met?

a crime against meat" is exactly right. Look, you can eat whatever you want, that's your business. But ordering a well-done burger at a nice place tells the other person you don't care about the food or the experience. It's like ordering a bottle of expensive wine and then mixing it with Coke. You're paying for quality and then asking them to ruin it. And on a first date, that kind of thing says something about your personality - that you're set in your ways and not willing to try anything different. He saw a red flag and he moved on. Can't blame him for that.

Maybe the guy just really likes his burger cooked through and that's not a crime.

Did you try asking his opinion before the date to avoid surprises?
