Had a random stranger fix my landing page copy in 2 minutes flat
Was sitting in a coffee shop in Portland last month, staring at my laptop trying to figure out why my conversion rate was stuck at 1.2%. This older guy next to me asked what I was working on - he was a retired ad copywriter. He looked at my headline for maybe 10 seconds, then just said "you're telling them what you do, not what they get." Rewrote it on a napkin right there. Tested his version the next day and conversions jumped to 3.4%. Anyone else ever get advice from a complete stranger that actually worked?

Man, that's wild. I had a guy at a bus stop once tell me how to fix my leaky hose nozzle, and he was spot on too.

Read a study once that said random strangers give better advice than experts half the time.

Think about the fact that strangers don't have any skin in the game or ego tied to your outcome, so they just tell you the truth without overcomplicating it. @river952's bus stop guy probably didn't care if his fix worked, he just knew it would and said it.
