Had my worst email campaign flop last Tuesday
Sent out a newsletter to 2,400 subscribers and only got 12 clicks. Turns out I used a spammy word in the subject line and Gmail flagged it. Has anyone else had a campaign tank because of something dumb like that?

Read a study that said subject lines with words like "free" or "limited" trigger spam filters 90% of the time. Makes you wonder why email platforms flag normal people but let actual spammers through all day. Even the big marketing blogs are saying to avoid those words and test your subject line with a spam checker before sending.

12 clicks out of 2400 is brutal. I got flagged once for saying "free" in the subject line.
