Had to choose between a big Facebook ad budget or hiring a local influencer for my cafe's launch
I opened a new coffee spot in Portland and had $2,000 for launch marketing. I could either put it all into Facebook ads or give half to a local food blogger with 30k followers. I went with the blogger for a week of posts. We got a lot of likes but only about 15 people actually came in from her promo. Has anyone else seen influencer deals not really bring in customers?

Yeah, the "week of posts" thing is a red flag. You paid for content, not for a real push. A single post with a clear offer, like a free drink with her code, would have worked better. Likes don't pay the bills, you needed a trackable deal to make people actually move. Next time, tie the payment directly to how many people use a unique coupon she shares.
