I chose to stop using Google Ads for my small business in Boise and went all in on Facebook. Everyone said I was wrong, but my sales went up 30% in four months.

Focus on where your customers actually spend their time online. Google Ads can feel like shouting into a void if your audience isn't actively searching for your specific service, but Facebook lets you put your product right in their social feed. The numbers don't lie, so keep trusting what works for your business.

Hold on, Facebook ads are just as easy to ignore! People scroll right past them, but a Google search means they already want to buy. That intent is way more powerful than just hoping they notice your post.

Terry835 makes a good point about search intent, but maybe it depends on the product. My buddy runs a food truck and said his Google ads were a total waste because nobody was searching for "gourmet grilled cheese near me" until after they saw his cheesy posts on Facebook. Now they look it up after seeing the ad.

But what happens when Facebook changes its rules and your sales drop?
