I was at a local tech meetup in Denver and a speaker's demo of a new AI content tool completely broke the event's live captioning.

The tool's aggressive keyword insertion for SEO was so bad it turned the captions into gibberish, which made me wonder if we're optimizing for bots so much that we're breaking things for real people.

That captioning glitch actually blocked access for deaf attendees.

Broken captions are a small price for better search visibility. Most people don't even use live captioning, but everyone benefits from finding the right content online. The tool was just doing its job, maybe the captioning software needs to catch up.

Accessibility isn't optional, @smith.parker.
