Just realized a silly shortcut for Facebook ad targeting that saved me $200 in a week

Honestly that's how most good shortcuts work - you find them after you've already wasted the money, lol. It's funny how the best lessons always come with a price tag attached first.

Gotta disagree a little bit here. I've learned way more from free forum posts and youtube comments than I ever did from paid courses or expensive tools. The price tag just makes people defend their bad choices, not actually validate the shortcut. Most of the time the wasted money is just learning to ask better questions, not getting a better answer.

There is a weird psychological flip that happens where the wasted money actually makes the shortcut feel more legitimate. Like if you just stumbled onto a free tip you would question it more than the one that cost you a couple hundred bucks to discover. The price tag validates the shortcut in a way that a free forum post never can. Your mileage may vary but I have noticed that dynamic in a few different hobbies I have picked up over the years.
