My ad account got shut down right before a big sale and I had to think fast
I was at my desk in Denver last Tuesday, about to launch a weekend sale for a local shop. I hit publish on the Facebook ad set and got the instant ban notice. No warning, just a full stop. The shop owner was texting me every five minutes asking for the ad link. I knew the appeal could take days, so I called a friend who runs a small agency. He told me to set up a new Business Manager right away with a different payment method, which felt wrong but it worked in about two hours. I had to rebuild the whole campaign from scratch, but we got it live by that evening. The sale still happened, but it was way too close. Has anyone else had to do a full restart like that and did it cause more problems later?

Setting up a new Business Manager like that is a common workaround, but in my experience, it can flag you for circumventing systems. I had a client try that and their new account got restricted within a week because it was linked to the same website. A safer move is to use an existing, aged Business Manager from a different person if you can.

Yeah, that "borrowed time" thing is so real. My buddy did the same workaround last month, used his wife's name but the same business address and phone. Lasted about five days before it got hit with the same "circumvention" warning. He had to submit his driver's license and everything.

Wait, you got it back up in just two hours? That's crazy fast. @price.ben is right though, that new account is probably on borrowed time if it's linked to the same stuff. I'd be worried it gets shut down again.
