Serious question, why do so many local business ads have zero call to action?

I mean, I was looking at ads for other groomers in my area and like 4 out of 5 just show a cute dog picture with their logo, but no 'book now' or 'visit our site' or even a phone number, which is wild because my own booking jumped 30% last month after I just started adding 'Call for a free nail trim' to my Facebook posts.

Honestly maybe they just like making nice pictures. Not every ad needs to scream at you to buy something right now. Could be they think the brand look is enough, or they're just bad at ads. Your results speak for themselves though, so maybe they're leaving money on the table.
