Wasted $300 on Google Ads before realizing I had no conversion tracking set up
Ran a campaign for 3 weeks promoting my little Etsy shop. Thought I was getting traffic but had no idea if anyone actually bought anything. Turns out I never installed the pixel. Basically lit $300 on fire. Felt like an idiot when my friend asked me what my ROAS was and I had nothing to show. Anyone else make this rookie mistake or just me?

Bruh I feel your pain lol. I did almost the same thing with Facebook ads a couple years back. Threw like $200 at it and was wondering why my shopify dashboard showed like 2 sales. Turns out I had the pixel code in the header but forgot to actually connect it to my ad account. Honestly the worst part is how long it takes to notice too. What I'd say is don't beat yourself up over it, this is literally how everyone learns. Just take it as a $300 lesson to double check your setup before you go live. Also next time run a tiny test campaign first with like $10 just to see if stuff actually tracks through.
