Warning: Put a cheap bike repair station at my town's bus stop and someone used the tire pump to inflate a pool float last week

I was dead set against spending $300 of the neighborhood fund on it, but now I'm just mad the float didn't pop so I could laugh about it with whoever did it.

Totally random but a friend of mine actually did this exact thing at a park with a broken air mattress pump, spent like 15 minutes huffing away on a public bike pump while his kids just stood there. He told me later he saw @phoenix573 mention the unicorn float thing in another thread and it made him laugh because his float barely stayed up for 10 minutes before slowly sagging down. Whatever it takes to get a cheap laugh I guess, just glad nobody got a flat tire from a busted valve.

Saw a thing online about someone using a public bike pump to blow up an inflatable mattress at a park last summer. Made me think about how people always find a way to use things for something they weren't meant for. I bet whoever did it at your bus stop was just trying to have a little fun on a hot day. Still funny though that they went through all that trouble and the float didn't even pop.

lol claire_grant34 that's actually wild, I saw a similar thing on Reddit where someone used a compressed air duster (like the kind you clean keyboards with) to blow up a pool float at the airport. People really get creative when they're bored. The whole "didn't pop" part kills me though, like imagine standing there pumping for 10 minutes just to get a half-deflated unicorn float at a bus stop. I heard someone even tried using a leaf blower once but the motor overheated lol.
