A client told me my color palettes were too 'safe' and predictable
Honestly, she said my spring collection looked like it was designed for a dentist's office waiting room. I started pulling inspiration from old punk album covers and graffiti in my city, and it completely changed my mood boards. Anyone else get a piece of feedback that pushed them out of their comfort zone?

Honestly that dentist office comment would have stung but it's such a clear picture lol. Got told my stuff was "beige" once, in every sense. Ended up forcing myself to only use colors from those ugly old motel postcards for a week. It felt wrong at first but it totally broke my brain out of its usual loops. Sometimes you need that harsh shake up to see things new.
