From synthetics to naturals: my fabric design debate
I always designed with synthetic fabrics for their long life. After trying natural ones, I see how comfort matters more. What do you think is key in fabric choice?

Honestly, had the same debate... ended up mixing both based on the piece. Like, linens for summer stuff but a tough blend for bags that get beat up.

My fabric indecision is basically a whole personality trait at this point, linen or poly blend.

Consider durability first, but never sacrifice comfort. My old hiking pants were synthetic and lasted years, but I never liked wearing them. Now I choose natural fibers for anything touching skin, like a cotton shirt for the office. For outer layers or gear, a tough synthetic blend still makes sense. It's about matching the fabric to the real use.

How is picking fabric this hard? My rule: if it's not scratchy, it's probably fine.
