Ugh, just wasted $150 on 'luxury' fabric swatches that felt like sandpaper
Ordered a bunch online for a coat design, and the pictures looked amazing. When they arrived, the wool blend was so scratchy and stiff, completely unusable. Anyone know a good, honest supplier for mid-weight wools?

Check the fiber content breakdown on the listing. Some places call it a wool blend when it's mostly acrylic, which feels awful. I learned to always ask for actual mill names or fiber percentages before buying swatches now.

Man that's the worst feeling, I mean you get all excited for the mail and then it's just trash. I had something similar happen with linen last summer, looked so soft online and showed up like burlap. Did you check the return policy on those swatches at all? Sometimes they'll take them back even if you opened them.

Saw this with some leather swatches I ordered. Thought I knew what good leather felt like. Completely changed my mind. They looked so rich in the photos but felt like stiff plastic in my hand. Can't trust anything now unless I've touched it.

Yeah, the lighting in product photos can be so misleading... makes everything look richer than it really is.
